2024 Ottawa Gaels Annual General Meeting
The Ottawa Gaels invite you to join us for the Club’s 2024 Annual General Meeting (AGM), taking place on Sunday, October 20th, 2024 from 1PM-3PM. This year’s AGM will be held in the upstairs Sanctuary at St. Brigid’s Centre for the Arts. The AGM gives our members and supporters an opportunity to hear from our board about the Club’s performance and achievements over the past year. Join us as we review the year’s highlights and select our executive committee for the coming year. The AGM is open to all registered members of the Ottawa Gaels. If you are not registered would like to attend, please contact our Club Secretary at secretary.ottawagaels.ca@gaa.ie to advise us of your interest. As we approach our Annual General Meeting, we are also seeking volunteers to fill key positions. Since 2010, the Ottawa Gaels GAA has been delighted to host the annual Mike Robinson Memorial Football tournament, in memory of our late friend, player, and Club member, Mike Robinson. A full day of Gaelic Football with friends and teammates, both locals and visitors from other GAA clubs, has been a wonderful and meaningful way to commemorate our friend, and gather as a community. This year the tournament will be held on Saturday, September 28th, 2024 from 11 AM to 5:00 PM, at Twin Elm Rugby Park. Senior players of all ages are welcome to join us for Co-Ed Gaelic Football matches. The proceeds from this annual tournament are donated to the Mike Robinson Canoe Trip (MRCT) fund at Philemon Wright High School, where Mike was a teacher. Mike established and spearheaded this annual trip for his students, in the context of the school’s Work-Oriented Training Path program and his own love of the outdoors.
